Detox water for a healthy and glowing skin

Hi Everyone! Today I am going to talk about detox water that not only helps you loose weight or staying fit but also helps you to get a healthy and glowing body and skin. You must have heard or read somewhere that one should drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day. Water hydrates the body and flushes out all the toxins and by adding some ingredients in your normal water will make your water flavoured adding taste to it and also helps you in loosing weight and getting a healthy body.

Here are some detox water recipes that will help you remain hydrated, fresh, active and fit throughout the day:-

1. Lemon Detox Water

Lemons are a rich source of Vitamin C. They help in alkalizing the body by restoring the pH balance of the body and are a natural fat cutter. They promotes hydration, improves skin quality, increases metabolism, freshens breath and helps prevent kidney stone.

Just take 1 lemon, wash it properly, cut into small slices and add into a mug of water. Leave it overnight and this detox water is ready to drink. You can add a slice of ginger and mint leaves in it to make it more healthy.

2. Apple Cinnamon Detox Water

Apple Cinnamon detox water is my favorite as it is a delicious hydrating treat. You must have heard “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” and it is because apples are full of minerals and vitamins. Apples are rich in fibre and controls the cholesterol level and blood sugar level, stimulates hair growth, prevents hair loss, boosts immunity and helps in reducing weight. Cinnamon too has many health benefits, including lowering cholesterol, fighting diabetes, and helps relieve arthritis pain. It is a powerful antioxidant, fights inflammation and enhances skin health.

Take one apple and cut its small slices removing the seeds. Now take 1 cinnamon stick and put it into a glass jar or mug along with the apple slices. Pour water in it and keep it overnight. Start drinking from the morning and enjoy this tasty hydrating drink all day. You can also add some ice in it in summers.

3. Strawberry Detox Water

Strawberries are not only tasty but also infused with many health benefits. They improve heart health, help with blood sugar control and even cancer prevention. They are loaded with vitamins( Strawberry is a rich source of Vitamin C) and contain very high levels of antioxidants .

Take 3-4 strawberries and slice them. Put them into a glass jar or mug and fill the jar with water. Keep it overnight and enjoy this healthy yet tasty drink all day. You can also add mint or lemon or cucumber or pineapple in this drink to make it more beneficial.

4. Kiwi Detox Water

Kiwi is another food with lots of benefits for your skin, hair and health. It is good for digestive system, aids weight loss, treats constipation, controls diabetes and helps manage blood pressure. It rejuvinates skin, promotes fairness, prevents skin diseases and has anti-ageing properties. Kiwi also fights hair loss and prevents premature greying.

Just take 1 or 2 kiwi depending on the amount of detox water you want to make. Now cut into small slices and add into the jar of water. Leave it overnight and your delicious detox water is ready to drink.

5. Blueberry Detox Water

Blueberries contain high level of antioxidants. They have anti-ageing and anti-cancer properties, promotes weight loss, helps boost immunity, promotes cardiovascular health, helps prevent urinary tract infection, helps lower blood pressure and support digestion.

Blueberries also have amazing benefits for skin. They reduce wrinkles, eliminates dark spots, prevents premature ageing, fights acne by controlling hormones and increases circulatory health which can prevent unwanted lines.

Take 1 cup of blueberries and 3 cups of water. Pour them in a jar. Leave it overnight and your blueberry detox water is ready to drink. You can also experiment of your own by adding some lemon or orange or mint or cinnamon for more health benefits.

  1. Yes, apples do cause weight loss, I have experienced that… quite amazing! I’ve never thought of pouring water on apples… I tend to just eat them raw or sometimes cook them… it seems to work either way. Does the water taste strong of apples or just a mild hint of apple flavour?
